• Rasmus has done an amazing description of rules for Killergame (which now has changed name to Assassination Game). This will be the basis of how you play the game. Until the signup for the game begins, a short version in English and Swedish will be available.
• Nils will be in charge of S.O.S that will kick off this fall. He presented the arrangement. We loved it.
• I told the board about the school catalogues. We were very pushing to get the school to evaluate ABC-gruppen, who due to a misunderstanding has not delivered the school catalougues yet, but has charged students for it. At last, the school listened and we can see it as a victory!
• This April, Amanda and I will go to Upptakt via SECO.
• We will work much harder with individual work groups for all projects we carry.  Due to this we will cancel all open Coremeetings to work more on the work groups and attract people to them through good marketing instead.
• The workload is hard for the school students. We will ask to participate on a team meeting where we will bring up the question and open for a discussion with teachers.

Protocol of board meeting 30-01-2012

Attendees: Elias Giertz, Evelina Wredlert, Rasmus Eriksson Rodriguez, Nils Werner.

§1 Opening of the meeting
Elias Giertz declared the meeting open.

§2 Election of meeting functionaries

Elias Giertz was elected chairman of the meeting

§5 Financial report No financial report was given.

§6 Social activities Rasmus Eriksson-Rodriguez presented a rule description regarding Assassination game. The board decided that the game will begin in March (5/3) and The Core will take 10 SEK for registration fees. Elias Giertz suggested that The Core should arrange more ”Themedays”, a decision about this will be taken at the next board meeting (13/02)

§7 Service activities Nils Werner presented a plan of  S.O.S. The Board approved this and decided that Nils Werner will be responsible S.O.S. The Board decided that S.O.S will start this fall.

§8 Nonprofit activities Elias Giertz, Ayla Löfving and Amanda Forsman-Sundell are responsible for this.

§9 Påverkansarbete Elias Giertz explained to the board that he and the school management are having a discussion regarding the school catalogue. Elias Giertz will keep the board informed. The Board decided that questions regarding the school’s communication with its students will be included in the questionnaire that Rasmus Eriksson-Rodriguez and Leah Deriba are responsible for. They should send the questionnaire out as soon as possible. Elias Giertz suggested that The Core should send a representative to each team meeting to discuss the workload of school pupils. The Board approved this.

§10 Internal organization No questions regarding internal organization brought up.

§11 Other Issues Elias Giertz suggested that he and Amanda Forsman-Sundell should be present at the conferens ”Upptakt” in april. The Board approved this. Evelina Wredlert suggested that all the core meetings should be cancelled. The Core should instead try to involve them in the workgroups. The board approved this.

Many of you have seen this problem, despite the fact that you’ve ordered and paid for the catalogue. The reason for this is due to a misunderstanding between the school and ABC-Gruppen, who delivers the photos.

At the meeting I also raised the question about the quality of the photos. It was very poor, and the management agreed.

We at The Core think it is extremely important to bring awareness to causes that affect us and our way of living. This month Cancer Fonden’s is holding their annual Rosa Bandet campaign against breast cancer, a disease that affects one in every eight women in their lifetime. The aim of the campaign is to remind people of the implications of breast cancer and to support the ongoing research that is taking a small step everyday in the fight to increase the survival rate of people affected. You can help support this very important cause by buying a rosa band for 25kr and then wearing it to spread the word. We at the Core will be selling them in the school throughout the next few days, so that the next time you are on your way to buy a sandwich you can stop and think for a second what it would be like for you or someone around to you to get breast cancer. Remember every little helps!
