The statute of The Core was accepted at the annual meeting at December 5th, 2011.

§1 Organization and purpose
mom. 1 The name of the organization is The Core.
mom. 2 The purpose of The Core is to take charge of the economical, non-profit, social and working interests of its members.
mom. 3 The Core is not bound to any political party, ideology or religion.
mom. 4 The Core is an organization with no ties to YBC.
mom. 5 The Core is based in Nacka.
§2 Membership
mom. 1 All students at YBC has the right to become members in The Core.
mom. 2 The goal for The Core is that all students should be members of the organization.
§3 Annual meeting
mom. 1 The annual meeting is the highest decision-making institution of The Core.
mom. 2 The annual meeting is to be held at some point between March to May each year.
mom. 3 The board shall call all members to the annual meeting at least four (4) weeks before it takes place. The invitation is to be sent out through an e-mail to all members, and also a text at the projector at floor 4 and floor 5 at YBC. The invitation must contain time, date and place for the annual meeting.
mom. 4 All motions should be handed in to the board at least two (2) weeks before the annual meeting. All documents, which is:
• Propositions
• Motions and their responses
• Operating statement
• Annual account report
shall be available for the members at least one (1) week before the annual meeting.
mom. 5 All members of The Core has the right to suggest, speak and vote during the annual meeting.
mom. 6 These areas is required to be discussed during the annual meeting:
- Opening of the meeting
- Election of president, secretary, adjustor and votecounters for the annual meeting
- Confirmation of voters’ roll
- Question if the annual meeting has been appointed in accordance with the statute
- Establishing of agenda
- Presentation and approval of operating statement and annual account report
- Question if the leaving board can receive freedom of liability
- Processing of propositions and motions
- Election of
- President
- Rest of the board
- End of meeting
mom. 7 The time between two annual meetings is called a year of activity. The business year is the same as the year of activity.
mom. 8 All documents, including protocols, from the annual meeting must be printed out, adjusted and be available for the members at latest four weeks after the end of the annual meeting.
mom. 9 An extra annual meeting shall be hold if the board or a majority of the members (more than half of them) requests it.
mom. 10 The extra annual meeting is required to follow all regulations concerning the annual meeting, with the exception of the time. An extra annual meeting can be held at any time during the year.
§4 The board
mom. 1 The board is responsible for the activity in The Core between the annual meetings.
mom. 2 The board is elected by the annual meeting and consists of a president and a selected number of board members.
mom. 3 The primary tasks for the board is to:
- Make sure the decisions at the annual meeting are carried out
- Make sure the statute is followed
- Prepare the next annual meeting and present an operating statement, an annual account report and a proposition of a new plan for operating at the annual meeting
- Take care of the finances in The Core
mom. 4 The board meets if the president, or a majority of the board members, calls to a meeting. The board are able to make decisions as long as at least half of the board members are present at the meeting.
mom. 5 If the president resigns, the vice president steps up in his or hers place. The board must then choose a new vice president within the board.
mom. 6 The board members must be cautious not to be connected to the school management in any way.
§5 Voting
mom. 1 When voting is done within The Core, half of the votes are required for a proposal to win. Only if the statute specifies some other voting method in a certain chapter, this can not be deviated from. If someone chooses not to vote, it will not be counted.
mom. 2 First, voting should be done through acclimation (shouting “yes”). Secondarily, voting is done by raising hands – if this is requested. If, after this process, the result cannot be trusted, voting must be done by counting the hands.
mom. 3 When a suggestion faces equal votes, the view of the president of the organ (or the stand-in for the president) is the winning decision. If the president or his or hers replacement refrain from taking the decision, or is not present, the voting is resolved by drawing lots.
mom. 4 When voting about a person:
- Each person who the voting concerns must receive at least half of the votes.
- If not enough people receives own majority, the rest of the posts should be appointed through a second election, where own majority is not required.
- If more than one person receives the same number of votes, in a way which affects the result of the vote, a separation-vote should be conducted.
- If the separation-vote shows equal results between the two candidates, drawing lots is required.
mom. 5 You can not vote for some other member than yourself. Voting through a warrant or certificate is not permitted. M
§6 Electability
mom. 1 All members of The Core are electable for all positions in The Core.
mom. 2 Members of the nominating committee and the revision committee is, except for members of The Core, also people outside of the organization, electable. The requirement is to be a student at YBC.
§7 Signing authority
mom. 1 Signing for the firm is done individually by the authorized members.
mom. 2 The board must elect two board members to receive authority to sign for the firm.
mom. 3 The board can also give members of the organization, outside of the board, the authority to sign for the firm.
§8 Exclusion
mom. 1 Only the annual meeting can expel a member of The Core. This can be done if the member in question seriously has worked against the purpose of The Core, as it’s appointed in the statute, or in any other way seriously damaged The Core.
mom. 2 The decision must be taken with two thirds majority.
§9 Interpretation of the statute
mom. 1 If the interpretation of the statute is unclear, the board is eligible to decide how to interpret the regulation.
mom. 2 The decision of interpretation applies until the next annual meeting, where the question must be discussed.
§10 Change of the statute
mom. 1 To change the statute, two thirds majority is required in a decision at the annual meeting.
§11 Disestablishment
mom. 1 To disestablish The Core, it must be suggested in writing in a motion to an annual meeting.
mom. 2 If an annual meeting decides to disestablish The Core, the same meeting must decide what should happen with the resources from The Core.
mom. 3 Decision about disestablishment must be taken with two thirds majority, at two following annual meetings.
